What Stella "John" Buck, the Soldier, lacks in military experience, respect for authority, common decency and any reasonable taste in music, he makes up for with his loud mouth, aggressive disposition, and excessive pride for the BLU team.

One may be surprised to find that this violent, crazed jock from Midtown West started his mercenary career in 1957 as a quivering wimp of a woman who couldn't fight or rocket jump to (literally) save her life. Today, in the year of our Lord 1970... he's still terrible at fighting, and almost worse at rocket jumping...?
At least he's learned to have fun despite his incompetence.
